Faith and Matt are two beautiful people and even more beautiful hearts. Every detail was covered, including their Norwegian heritage and a Barbie doll dress with perfect sash. What a fall day to boot...well we faked it at least! It was the last tree in all of Edina with the last branches still clinging to the leaves...and we found it! I was honored to get to capture this love story.
What a treat! Studies in India brought a Bohemian flavor to this fun night for Ashley and Tim. The most energy I have seen in a wedding party, totally inspired me to find friends like these. The ornament they hung in the tree is an Indian tradition on the wedding day, as well as the papers, stars, etc. Check out these colors!
Erik and Cara were wed in the greater Chicago area this fall -- way to go cuz! His family is from Rochester but as Wheaton grads working Tingdale House publishers, Chicago was ideal. In exploring the local options, I stumbled across a gem and chose to liberate the couple from the confines of their church to an interactive environment of an old pioneer village nearby. The old single-room school house was especially fun as Erik's mom is a teacher and the wedding party got into the roll-play. Dunce's hat in the corner, rulers, spelling lesson, chalk boards; we had a blast and a great tension release! Enjoy.
This wedding totally gave me new hope in lake cabin weddings....so elegant yet laid back. It was a classy wedding using Tropicana orange dresses from J Crew, an old Norwegian Stuga church, etc. The wedding party left the church by boat and pulled up to the dock of her parent's lake home across the lake. An upside down fishing boat made for a fun beer and wine cooler to get the party going. As Amy is a dentist, the color scheme fit a candy table perfectly; however her conscious could not let her let friends and family go away without a tooth brush. It was a big hit! After the reception in the afternoon, guests were invited to bring their suits and take a dip. What a fun scene and end to a perfect day. Thank you Daren and Amy for the invite!
A summer day in Duluth came with the most passionate couple of the year. You can't help but get absorbed by their energy and love...yup even the photographer shed a few tears. I counted down to this day all year. They also get best dancers of the year award! Side note...Duluth is highly underrated for a wedding venue. Need suggestions?? Email me!
Michigan here we come! As both the bride and groom are from the Twin Cities, they decided to go back to Kelly's roots along Lake Michigan. Kelly is a full-time graphic designer and put much thought into every aspect of their mid- summer day. As she was getting ready at her childhood home, she couldn't stop leaping for joy! There was an overflow of laughter, trolley stops down memory lane, and mae flies that almost had us swimming. I love this couple and hope you do too.
