I have spent years at family camp with Brianne and her family, some of the best summers a kid could dream up! Brianne is a gem, and Nate knows how wonderful his new life is with her sparkling. When they got engaged, my heart leaped and we started drawing up a fun and creative vision for their day. I roamed the all over Maple Grove all morning in search of just the right locations to use for this playful couple. Rush Creek GC could not have been more perfect for these two as guests breathed in the crisp summer air as the sun sank below the horizon. I admire you both and your love greatly. See you soon!

What a joy these two share! Julia and Devin radiate love and enthusiasm for life and their wedding day was no exception. The couple flew to Minnesota from New York to have their ceremony at Julia's home church of Christ Presbyterian Church. My wife Janelle and Julia bonded over similar style ideas and vintage touches, as she served as their wedding coordinator. Devin is a sophisticated guy who knows how to make people feel truly appreciated. Their friends took the party into the Minnesota History Center and in between shots of oysters and guests from coast to coast, the day will be forever cherished. Thank you both for the invitation and sharing this day with us!

I originally met Erik through mentoring youth at church group; he was always one of those "cool teachers" I always wanted to have in High School. To top it off, he was the soccer coach, another love of my life. As we have shared life together over the years, I started to hear about this girl he couldn't get out of his head. Her name was Robyn and I knew a lot about her before ever getting the chance to meet her. The two picked a date that enabled me to be their photographer, and my wife their wedding coordinator at Christ Presbyterian Church in Edina; we got to love on our friends throughout their biggest day of their lives. What a thrill it was for us to witness your vows and play with you in the fields! Your friendship means the world!

I remember that phone call well. Katina had called and told me Chris had asked the question. As we have been to a handful of great weddings, including an epic wedding adventure in Aruba with Aaron and Melissa, I just KNEW this would be a highlight of the year. I was right. I got to introduce them and their vision to the Semple Mansion in Minneapolis and they fell immediately in love. Talk about finding the absolute perfect dress to fit the mansion! The Basilica of St. Mary's was warm and welcoming as guests poured in to witness their vows. I definitely was a little trigger happy as we laughed all day long. Thank you friends, and I know our paths will cross often!

Annie and Ryan are cut from the same cloth. Their excitement for life bubbles out of them through their eyes and giddy grins. Put them together on their wedding day and my heart just burst. Annie sang with me in my stellar youth choir days at Normandale Lutheran Church in Edina and our families have been friends for years. We got to celebrate her brother's wedding together a couple years back and I remember her telling me to save a date for her some day. That day finally came and Ryan played the part of her groom just perfectly. What a pair! In the midst of all the action, we took a moment away from guests to let our hair down and get our feet wet. Golden Valley CC was abuzz all night as both definitely have some social friends and family. Everyone, including myself, felt it a privilege to be apart of this momentous day.

Fun fact: I have a big crush on the playground of lakes located in the greater Brainerd area, as I get to spend a chunk of time during the year retreating to our place near the Whitefish chain. In the summer, the towns come alive with eager Minnesotans trying to soak of the best rays of sun and a good wake. My fishing pole is by my bedside to catch the sunrise in hopes of luring a largemouth bass to the mirrored surface. It is the source of my creative refueling. Every once in while, I get to join a couple that shares that same affinity for "Up North."

Sarah and Mike came to me over a year ago with a dream destination wedding and a creative spin to tie in their love for the lake life. We had fun dreaming and scheming, involving some good mutual friends along the way. The ceremony spilled over along the shore as the 200 gathered watched the sun sink on the horizon. In place of a limo following the ceremony, the couple opted for His and Her deckboats to cruise the lake. As champaign corks popped, the laughter could be heard from across the lake. Thank you for an amazing weekend in paradise!
