Wedding Date: May 23rd 2015

The Van Dusen Mansion was built for a wedding like this one.  The festivities started a day early as the couple asked their wedding party to walk the downtown and river with them, a typical peek into a day-in-the-life of Melissa and Ben.  The Aster Café was our halfway point and its great vibe was ideal for toasting the happy couple and the perfect tone setter for the wedding to come.  As both being accomplished hockey players, the said to heck with the knife and instead opted to use a real hockey stick to cut their cake and feed each other.  The highly amused crowd gathered and chanted, “Forehand, backhand, scoop!”.  Such precious mixed with humor and play will be the combo this ice pair will be known in the many more years to come.
