Alexia & Justin Destination: New Jersey

Wedding Date: January 6th 2017

When the first call came in from this excited pair, plans were still in the works but their biggest need was for a Minnesota photographer to take engagement photos. I don’t think either of us thought this friendship would be formed so quickly and I would be boarding a plane to New Jersey in January.

I teamed up with one of my very best friends on the planet, the famous NY fashion photographer, Nathan Johnson of Drift Studios, to cover start to finish this incredible wedding adventure. I heard it said once, “You can take the girl outta Jersey, but you will never take the Jersey outta the girl.” Justin knows this to be oh so true! Although he works as a golf professional at the glorious Hazeltine Golf Club, the choice was obvious, to bring the wedding home to New Jersey as nod to her family legacy. Everything sparkled this day, thanks to the dusting of fresh snow and a drop in the temperature keeping it looking like a winter wonderland. Alexia was jaw-dropping gorgeous (as were both mom’s!) and styled to magazine-worthy perfection. Even Justin’s normally smooth tongue was at a loss for words upon seeing Alexia in her dress for the first time. The fairy tale day came to a close with grins all around and a full dance floor circled in love. It was hard to get back on a plane, but now this photographer has taken a bit of Jersey with him. I will be back soon!
