Alyssa and Gavin Engagement

There’s some extra special magic that happens when you get to photograph family, and Alyssa and Gavin are the perfect example of that! Alyssa is my wife's cousin and we have been honored to come alongside her and Gavin during their wedding planning and engagement. I was beyond excited to capture their wedding later in the year, but first, we set up an engagement session so they could get to know me behind the camera. We started off the session at my house so they could say hello to my boys and give some much needed hugs, then we were off to a nearby park to begin! Alyssa had dreamed about a colorful fall session so I knew just the place. I had been watching the leaves turn for the past few weeks and was keeping track of all the best spots in the area. They trusted my vision for the session and we visited tall grasses, old oak groves, and showed off some of the most beautiful fall colors Minnesota had to offer.
