Wedding Date: September 15th and 16th 2023

When Anna Senrick contacted me to ask about my availability for one of her wedding couples, I knew it was going to be good. After meeting Archana and Aritra, I knew it was the perfect fit and their day sounded absolutely over-the-top gorgeous. What I had envisioned from their description was elegant and beautiful, but when I showed up for their wedding weekend, the reality and grandeur completely blew me away. The colors, the dancing, the outfit changes, the people, all of it really. It was a stunning and spectacular weekend that was above all filled with love.

Going into this incredible event I knew I wanted the very best so I teamed up with our Team Photographer, Tasha, who took the lead. She too was completely speechless after seeing the stunning beauty of what Anna and her team put together. Once we picked our jaws back up off the floor, we met up with the couple who was excited and ready to start the celebrations. We started as the sun went down, just in time for some gorgeous sunset photos. The golden beams reflected off the details on Archana’s dress as Aritra twirled her as they both laughed. They were both so calm and full of joy, we couldn’t help but smile and laugh right along with them!

It was then time to join the party at JW Marriott where a crowd awaited, camera’s ready. Cheers erupted as they made their grand entrance and custom light gobos twirled on the walls behind them. The entire room was colorfully decorated and ready for a party. The dances began and the room once again exploded into cheers and applause. Dance after dance, it only got better and better! Then Archana took the floor and just like a professional dancer, she had the crowd wrapped around her little finger, hanging on every move. What an incredible start to the weekend events, we already couldn’t wait for more!

We began the next morning once again at the beautiful JW Marriott where we met Aritra and his smartly dressed group of guys. He was all smiles and you could tell he was counting the minutes until he got to see Archana again. She was busy in the bridal suite with her friends and family making certain that every detail was in place. She looked stunning and a big smile lit up her face knowing that she would be seeing Aritra soon too. She greeted and blessed family as they entered with heartfelt words and gestures. It was hard to hold back the tears as her eyes welled up with joy and excitement. But then her big moment was here and she walked down to the lobby where Aritra was waiting. All was right in the world the second their eyes met. We explored the beautiful hotel architecture while friends and family began gathering for the next event. They took advantage of the quiet moments and laughed together, no doubt sharing inside jokes that would strengthen the memories of this amazing day. Then they took their separate places and the groom’s welcome began.

Music played and people sang in the streets as Aritra was greeted by Archana’s family. They carried flowers and offerings through the street and back inside toward the ceremony space. The scent of flowers filled the air as Aritra took his place on the stage and awaited his bride. Her entrance was just as grand as one would have hoped. She looked incredible and so happy as she walked toward the stage where the fabric was hanging, just waiting to drop and reveal her groom. This was the big moment of the day and you could feel the anticipation of the crowd. Once it dropped their faces lit up and the ceremony officially began. They exchanged flowers and rings, vows and prayers, although in another language from my own, it was beautiful and timeless.

You could really feel the excitement level creep up as soon as the ceremony concluded. Everyone knew this is when the party was really going to begin and also some of the best food ever. Tasha found this amazing little private space next to a slate building where they celebrated together before going back to the big party. Every pose felt like working with professional models and they were so lovely and laid back it was like spending time with friends. They went back inside to make one final outfit change before meeting Tasha back outside where a beautiful beam of golden light was waiting for them.

Back inside, the party was roaring and everyone was overjoyed to welcome the newlyweds. The room had been completely transformed and this new stage was filled with white and gold that perfectly matched their outfits. They looked like they stepped onto the set of a movie and they were the stars. They shared touching toasts and then the dancing began once more. Archana took center stage, twirling and dancing like a pro. Everyone was perfectly choreographed and the music was upbeat and had each and every person bouncing along to the rhythm. The evening ended with a stunning dance by the newlyweds before the floor opened up and was filled with guests who’s moves were also right out of a movie. Everyone was laughing and dancing together in unison and this is what I imagine when I close my eyes and think of this day. Pure joy, music, and love.
