Cady & Noah Destination: Willamette Valley Oregon
Wedding Date: October 17th 2020
These two threw their hands in the air in the midst of the world troubles and instead of flying home to Minneapolis from Chicago to say they vows, they rerouted the wedding plans to the heart of Oregon wine country. Willamette Valley is my absolute favorite wine region in the United States and an easy adventure direct from Minneapolis to Portland. Every morning started out with blue skies, puffy clouds, and family-run wineries filled with ripening fruit and incredible chefs and winemakers. The table was set for an epic day.
We awoke to the sun peeking over the hillside framed by the huge picture window in the AirB&B estate. Their first look on the balcony overlooking the lavender fields and vineyard was the perfect way to start the day. After which we strolled the grounds and sipped some of the best Pinot Noir in the world. We chose a jaw-dropping overlook for the ceremony site and some emotional promises of forever. Then the vineyard's 4x4 could be heard tearing its way up the hilltop to pick up the bride and groom for a sunset only found in dreams or Disney movies. Everything was perfection including the hospitality and food. Noah's brother is quite the chef at Cafe Lurcat and hand-picked the Portland crew for an innovative and memorable meal. The night would not be complete without some songs and dancing around the fire as Cady lent her sweet soul to every note, much to the joy of the family. This was a night and a family to model how to love, how to dream, and how to live life boldly.
I was indeed the lucky one.
