Colette and Peter
Wedding Date: June 24th 2023
I woke up to an ideal summer day with the sun shining and big puffy white clouds floating in the breeze. The birds were singing and all the flowers were in bloom and I started to feel like I was waking up in the middle of a fairytale. It felt very fitting that I was capturing Colette and Peter’s wedding day in the beautiful and summery Como Park Enchanted Garden and Conservatory. Colette was all smiles when I met her and we had the perfect spot picked out for their first look. As she took her place surrounded by flowers, Peter made his way down the path and I watched his face fill with joy the second he saw her. They had a sweet and quiet moment taking in the beautiful day and enjoying their surroundings. We took shelter in a little cluster of towering trees where Colette revealed her wedding shoes (excellent red Converse hightops) and they quite literally kicked up their heels on their way to the ceremony location.
Surrounded by loved ones and lush gardens, all of the guests took their seats. They exchanged sweet vows with the Conservatory in the background and their guests smiling faces looking back at them. After saying “I do,” we took some time to enjoy the beautiful park grounds before returning to the reception. Their friends are fun and lively so we laughed and joked the entire time. Then as the sun was starting to dip lower in the sky, we headed back inside to enjoy the interior gardens and let the pair catch their breath before the reception. They walked the gardens admiring the flowers and the warm tropical air. Peter twirled Colette and their laughter could be heard echoing throughout the room with only the flowers watching on in awe.
Back at the reception hall, all of their guests excitedly greeted them as they made their grand entrance. Everyone talked and shared stories while they enjoyed the setting sun outside the large picture windows overlooking the garden. They shared their first dance and parent dances before sneaking away for a quick outfit change. Colette dawned a beautiful red dress and the pair met outside with the last whispers of light illuminating the Conservatory behind them.
