Felyn & Will Destination: Hilton Head Island, South Carolina
Wedding Date: May 3rd 2019
The South is famous for their hospitality, feel-good food, and of course, warm weather! Felyn and Will fell hard for this beautiful place, but what caught me by surprise was how remote and cozy it all can feel on the white sand coast which was the perfect backdrop for this love story.
I first met Felyn and Will during their engagement session at the arboretum. We instantly clicked and shared many laughs. As their wedding vision was finalized and a date and venue chosen, I got the invite to continue their adventures!
Friends flew in from all over the globe to join in on the traditional Chinese tea ceremony followed by their beach pavilion wedding. For me, the highlight of this Chinese tradition was when the youngest in the family, at the age of 2, served the bride and groom tea. My cousin, Josh, studying at an art school 5 hours away drove down to make it a true family business and was my 2nd photographer for the day. Eventually after the American ceremony, we kicked off our shoes to dip our toes in the waves, to everyone's excitement! As night fell, moisture in the air produced some enchanting images as Felyn and Will danced beneath the stars and all was right in the world.
