Kyra and Albert
Wedding Date: June 10th 2023
Getting to work alongside friends is one of the biggest perks of my job. So when Kyra and Albert decided to bring my good friend, Tim Long, along to capture their day I was thrilled. We knew each other from my days in San Diego and we tend to bring out each others best in both work and life. The combination of this sweet couple, a fun-loving crew, a gorgeous venue in the Beach Club, and some of the best planners in the business, Style Architects, I knew this day was going to be amazing. And trust me, it didn’t disappoint!
Tim and I met Kyra in the bridal suite at The Beach Club where we started off indoors due to a few on and off rain showers. Kyra set up a special moment with her mother before revealing her dress to anyone else. They met on the balcony and she twirled around revealing a piece of her mother’s wedding dress that had been woven into hers. This was such a sweet moment filled with happy tears and hugs, I didn’t think it could get better, but then the ladies burst through the door and screamed with excitement and even more happy tears flowed. Then she was finally ready to see Albert, who was anxiously waiting as he heard the screams and excitement from everyone else echo through the club. They threw their arms around one another and suddenly the entire day seemed whole.
One of the best entrances in the city is definitely the grand staircase at The Beach Club. After taking a few deep breaths, Kyra smiled and confidently floated down the staircase with all of their loved ones looking on and Albert waiting at the end of the aisle wearing a huge smile. They exchanged sweet and sincere vows that showed how deeply they knew each other and how perfect they were for one another. After a few more happy tears, they were pronounced husband and wife and the party immediately got underway!
We strolled outside right after the ceremony to enjoy the lake but first we had to cross the busy avenue. Tim held out umbrellas and put on his best crossing guard face as cars stopped and cheered and honked as the couple crossed the street. The lake shore was a breath of fresh air and a little respite of calm just across the street from the party. The sky opened up once again and we pulled out our umbrellas to hide from the rain. As we turned back to the Beach Club, Tim hollered and whistled to get the attention of everyone on the balcony. They cheered and waved back and you could see Kyra and Albert’s faces fill with joy upon seeing their loved ones gathered together cheering them on.
Back inside, Anna and Rachelle did a marvelous job decorating the room and making it feel cozy and welcoming. The guests filled the space and before I knew it a dance party had begun. They shared a mix of toasts and dances and back and forth like that until the dance floor was filled with happy party-goers. We grabbed a bottle of champagne and headed out into the inky night to pop some bubbly and celebrate one more time cheering and laughing as our voices carried in the evening air.
