Leah & Ian Destination: Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Wedding Date: February 9th 2020
Mexico may never be the same after this Northern Minnesota hockey crew left town. Ice may have bonded Leah and Ian, so I find it ironic that they literally tried to get as close to the hot sun to promise their forever… they were on the tallest rooftop on the warmest beach in Mexico! Both come from incredible families and there were plenty of blurry lines between friends and family as they have been in each other's lives a looooong time. The talented videographer, Rob Kopp, joined us as well and Leah and Ian’s crew adopted both of us from the start to create magic.
Leah has a special sibling bond with her brothers and she asked both to officiate the wedding, which they did brilliantly, as guests were dosed with a fun mixture of stories, sweat, and tears. After some sweet "I do’s" the newlyweds took a stroll on the beach to soak up the last remaining beams of sun. Being it was a Sunday, we were greeted with quite the hollywood fanfare by many locals as Sundays are family beach and BBQ days in Mexico. It was quite the royal treatment from start to finish for this princess who had married her handsome prince. They will live happily ever after, surrounded by the best crazies one can hope to find in life for the adventure.

Leah & Ian Boat Day Mexico
So if the wedding day itself wasn't epic enough, Leah and Ian arranged a "white-out” themed boat excursion day and everyone came in their finest white boat attire. The ocean was rough, so we opted to dock in the bay with other boats and throw our own dance party. Friends took flight from the bow of the boat into the caribbean blue waters and rum punch fueled the energy until the sun wore everyone out. It was truly epic.
