Marissa and Robert
Wedding Date: July 22nd 2022
When I joined Marissa and Robert at Lake Minnetonka for their engagement session, it was the perfect day in the perfect setting and I didn't know how it could get any better than that. But when I arrived at the Lafayette club on the morning of their wedding and saw both of their smiling faces filled with excitement, I knew that this day was going to be like none other.
I met Marissa and Robert at the Unveiled Wedding Fair where we felt an instant connection. They were thrilled to hear that we were a preferred vendor at their venue, the Lafayette club. Their wedding day would take me back to Lake Minnetonka, the place where it all began. They spent countless hours on their boat watching weddings and happy couples from afar at the Lafayette club. Now it was their turn.
It was the hottest day of the year but with a cool breeze blowing off the water, it was perfect. After a sweet first look, we met up with their small wedding party to explore the grounds and laugh together before their ceremony began. Set outside overlooking the water, guests turned when they heard Marissa’s voice over the speakers, "We have waited a long time for today..." And just like that, Marissa turned the corner and walked down the aisle to a crowd crying happy tears of joy. The ceremony was beautiful and very personal, when they had their first kiss, the crowd erupted in cheers that continued through the evening celebrations.
The night started with a champagne tower and ballroom dancing. They twirled to a medley of their three favorite songs and at the last song, Marissa surprised everyone when she sang to Robert for the last few verses. The cheers continued through the heartfelt toast and champagne flowed around the room. I stole the couple away after dinner for a little sunset stroll. There was a new special place on the grounds that I thought they would love. We admired the boats as they passed by and Marissa exclaimed, "I just got married!" to the sound of honking boats and cheers from across the water. We ended the evening twirling next to the lake as the sun sunk below the horizon. This fairytale wedding day ended just how it began, next to the lake and with two people completely in love. Wishing you both your happily ever after!
