Morgan and Ben
Wedding Date: September 23rd 2023
This was a day filled with heart and intentionality from beginning to end. To say they put a lot of love into their wedding day would be a huge understatement, it was so much more. But from the moment I met them I saw this special spark that ignites when two best friends decide to spend the rest of their lives together. Sarah Trotter of Lasting Impressions introduced me to this awesome couple and she made sure every detail of their day was perfectly planned and impeccably executed. I love teaming up with Sarah, she always works with the best people!
I received a special note from Ben when we were planning their photo timeline. He decided to build their chuppah by hand and wanted me to meet him extra early at The Depot for a special surprise. When I arrived, I heard voices and a bunch of noise that sounded like drilling. Sure enough, there was Ben and his guys all assembling the chuppah by hand. When the last piece was in place, they hoisted it up so it could be decorated as the perfect surprise for Morgan and all of their guests. After putting the power tools away, Ben retreated back to the grooms room and I met up with Morgan who was finishing getting ready with her mom. She looked stunning and absolutely glowed from head to toe.
As the moment for their first look drew closer, their loving parents could hardly contain their excitement. I escorted them to a little area where they could watch and all of them pressed their faces together in anticipation. Ben stood in the courtyard and waited for Morgan as the buzz of excitement filled the air. Cheers from their family could be heard and everyone laughed and smiled knowing how loved they were. We walked the beautiful halls before coming to the ceremony space where Ben’s chuppah stood in all its glory, dripping in flowers and surrounded by pumpkins. No one was more impressed than Morgan and the pair beamed from ear to ear.
Then the time was finally here. Family and friends gathered in the small back room that was packed to the brim with joy and love. Then after hugs and a few happy tears, Morgan walked down the aisle toward Ben. Their officiant was absolutely amazing and made the entire ceremony so personal and sweet. She had everyone in tears and smiles at the same time. The crowd cheered as they walked back down the aisle, stopping for a kiss to take in the big moment. Just outside, guests were treated to a delicious spread while they mingled and caught up with each other. Morgan and Ben flitted from group to group, wearing a huge smile the entire time.
Inside the reception hall, Sarah’s team worked their magic and transformed the space into a dreamy, golden hall filled with flowers and glowing with purple and golden light. It was elegant but also had sweet personal touches that didn’t go unnoticed and everyone oohed and awed upon entering. Guests were treated to sweet toasts and an amazing meal before the dancefloor opened up and the party really began. The room was filled with laughter and great music as the couple was carried on chairs and people held hands and danced around them. When they stopped to catch their breath, we stepped away from the party for a few moments outside. We could hear the dance music playing through the halls as we walked outside where it had just started to rain. But with rain, new things grow, so they danced in the raindrops that fell like stars and started this new chapter in their life.
