Our epic "Mountain Moon"

There is a lot of pressure on planning a honeymoon. Fortunately, at the altar we promised to make a lifestyle out of honeymooning. We have taken that quite literally as we started this run of trips with our first honeymoon, or "Mountain Moon" as we have always affectionately called it. Some of the best wisdom we got along the way was to continue to date and adventure together. This kicked it all off.

Banff was a childhood memory of mine and as we researched, we realized how easily accessible this part of Canada was. Banff National Park is an easy 1 hour drive in from the Calgary airport. We climbed glaciers, explored castles, ziplined gorges, lit campfires in five star accommodations, took bikes to the tallest peaks, and hiked to some of the tallest waterfalls in the world. Each lake reflected a different color green framed off by jagged peaks of the Canadian Rockies. We never wanted to leave and knew we would return.
