Sarah and Sean

Wedding Date: August 18th 2023

If you’ve ever experienced Minnesota in mid-august, you know the hot summer days that lead into the cool nights which have hints of autumn in the air. Before the busy school season is upon us but at the tail end of summer so you have the foresight to soak up every last ray of sunshine and colorful sunset. Sarah and Sean choose such a day for their beautiful wedding in historic St. Anthony Main. When our talented Team Photographer, Erin Johnson, joined them she knew this day would be special and make summer that much greater.

She met the pair at The Grand 1858 at Minneapolis Event Centers which is surrounded by some of the most iconic Minneapolis landmarks only a short walk away. Everyone was buzzing with excitement as they prepared to go outside for their first look. Sarah was all smiles and Sean patiently and excitedly waited outside near their ceremony location. He beamed ear to ear when he heard her footsteps behind him and from that moment on they were inseparable. They are such a perfect complement to each other that seeing them together seemed only natural. They laughed and showed off their colorful flowers which matched Sean’s bowtie perfectly. They joined Erin on a walk along the historic waterfront, pausing to take advantage of the views. The wind decided to act as a main character as it grabbed Sarah’s veil and dramatically blew it high up into the air. It certainly made for a few fun and dramatic moments that had everyone laughing.

Once all of their guests were seated, the outdoor ceremony began. They lovingly exchanged vows and performed a love lock ceremony straight from the banks of the Seine. After they were pronounced husband and wife, they marched down the aisle to a shower of applause. They took a few moments to enjoy their excitement while everyone else made their way inside. They shared a dance and thanked their guests while everyone enjoyed a lovely evening together. Erin noticed the sun was just beginning to set so she invited them to take a sunset stroll with her while the party continued. They walked the cobblestone streets just as the lights started to come on for the evening giving everything an extra magical glow. The skyline glowed with a pink and orange light and its brilliance reflected off the river below. As they gave one last twirl of the evening, they all knew today would live on in their memories as the best summer night yet.
