Shannon and Jim
Wedding Date: October 21st 2023
When we first talked with Shannon and Jim and heard about their vision for the day, I knew Tasha would absolutely be the perfect fit for them. Family focused, lots of time with their kids and parents, and a couple of incredible dresses? This had Tasha written all over it! When she arrived at the gorgeous Hewing Hotel the morning of their wedding, she was greeted by Shannon and all of her loving family. Morning light streamed in through the window and cast a romantic glow across the room. The ladies all shared a toast to the bride-to-be before Shannon showed off her first elegant dress. One of Tasha’s all-time favorites (and definitely a studio favorite too!) Shannon looked like a princess standing in the warm morning light surrounded by her loved ones. They called in her father for the sweetest first look where he was left with his jaw on the floor and arms open wide to give his daughter a hug.
They decided to forgo a first look and see one another for the first time during their ceremony. So as the guests took their seats, you could feel the excitement building. As their guests rose to their feet, Jim peered around the corner and the second he caught a glimpse of Shannon he was left speechless. His reaction was so sweet and you could tell they are both head over heels for one another. They shared a beautiful exchange of vows and involved their children, making sure each one of them knew how important they were to their union and both families. Keeping family at the center of their vows, they were pronounced husband and wife and happily walked down the aisle hand in hand.
Now that the family was united once more, it really felt like all was right with the world. The kids joked and played as Shannon and Jim happily strolled the historic streets. The chilly weather gave way to a blue sky filled with sun, so Tasha took advantage of the moment and took the pair to the gorgeous rooftop while their guests were getting settled into the reception hall. With the skyline behind them, it felt like they had the entire world at their feet and this day was truly made just for them. Back downstairs, loved ones gave toasts that honored the happy couple and shared heartfelt stories about family and fond memories. Tasha found herself getting choked up at a few points as family shared how much Jim’s dad would have loved this day. Everyone in fact had the most amazing time and you could see the joy on each and every one of their faces. These two attract good people and seem to radiate happiness which lights up every room they enter.
