Shauna and Logan
Wedding Date: October 4th 2024
Sometimes, a love story begins with a spark that’s as unique as the couple themselves. For Shauna and Logan, it all started on Valentine’s Day 2021 with a Star Wars GIF that set the tone for their relationship. As Shauna tells it, “We matched on Tinder, and I sent a Star Wars GIF of Obi-Wan saying, ‘Hello there,’ to see if he would send back, ‘General Kenobi.’ Not only did he pass the test, he said I beat him to it.” Their first date at Lagos Tacos ended with Logan “going for it” and sharing their first kiss, and as Shauna says, “The rest is history.”
Fast forward to their wedding day, and I couldn’t have been more honored to capture their love story. One of the first calls Shauna made after getting engaged was to me, and as an industry friend and longtime follower of my work, her call meant the world. Their day began at the Marriott, where the crisp autumn air set the perfect tone for their wedding. Always a fan of fall, Shauna wanted a celebration that embraced the season while still being uniquely their own.
After a heartfelt first look, they chose to exchange vows in a beautifully casual and impromptu ceremony. Surrounded by just their family and wedding party, we moved a few chairs into a half-circle in the courtyard and created an intimate moment that felt perfect for them. From there, we enjoyed the golden autumn light and made our way to the McNamara Alumni Center. The reception was held in a smaller room that’s close to my heart. The last time I was there, it was for my dad’s educator hall of fame award!
Shauna and Logan’s celebration was everything they had envisioned, warm, intimate, and full of joy. They prioritized time together, allowing me to capture the moments that mattered most to them. Shauna had one specific request, big, epic night shots. We ended the evening creating some night magic, with the glow of the U of M stadium in the distance providing a stunning backdrop.
Congratulations, Shauna and Logan, on a day as unique and wonderful as the two of you!
