Alexis and Mike Part Two Celebration
Part Two Celebration: August 21st 2021
What a joy and honor to celebrate with this amazing group of people not once, but twice! I first joined Alexis, Mike, and a handful of their nearest and dearest at a beautiful lake cabin in Wisconsin. Their first celebration took place in the living room of the cozy cabin and after the ceremony, we explored the lake and its islands by boat. For their second event, the water may have remained, but everything else was completely new!
When I arrived the morning of the wedding, they had breakfast waiting for me and couldn’t wait to reminisce about last year's festivities. This is exactly who they are, thoughtful, loving, and oh so excited. What a perfect start to the day. Alexis also had a fun surprise in store. She decided to wear her mother’s wedding dress! When her dad saw her for the first time he commented, “I thought that looked oddly familiar.” Everyone’s jaws dropped when they saw her and her mother looked on proudly. After their beautiful recommitment of vows at the Good Shepherd Church, we took off with the wedding party for some fun around Wayzata and made certain to find the sturdiest dock in town after some wobbly close calls last year! Happily everyone stayed dry, that is unless you count drips from ice cream cones in the warm summer sun. I also may have made a new best friend this day. His name is AJ, and as you may have guessed, my name is AJ too (Andrew Jerome). This little ring bearer ended up being my sweet little shadow and made sure Alexis’ dress was always perfectly straightened. You can see some of his great work below! After some heartfelt toasts, we were treated to an incredible sunset at Wayzata Country Club. My dear friend, Murphy Bryne, joined me to show off some of his impressive drone and photography skills. All the drone images are courtesy of him so major shout out to his eye adding to this day! Right before we called it a night, Alexis surprised us all once again by changing into her 2020 dress and “falling” into the swimming pool for some of the most dramatic pool shots yet! To say this day is unforgettable is an understatement, and to say that they’ll be friends for life is likely more accurate. Thank you both and I can’t wait to meet up and toast to you again soon!
