Ashley and Skyler
Wedding Date: August 29th 2025
Some weddings feel like a story unfolding in real time, and Ashley and Skyler’s day at Creekside Farm was exactly that. From the moment I arrived, there was this easy warmth in the air, the kind that comes when two genuinely kind people are surrounded by family and friends who love them completely.
The morning started as Ashley shared the sweetest time with her mom as she slipped into her dress, the kind of hug afterward that says everything without a word. Soon after, her bridesmaids gathered for the big reveal, and their reactions were exactly what you’d hope for, gasps, laughter, a few happy tears. It was pure excitement. Then Ashley shared a first look with her dad. The second he saw her, the pride and love on his face was unmistakable and definitely made this dad tear up a bit behind the lens.
Ashley and Skyler then met along the creek for their first look. Tucked into the peaceful landscape, they read their private vows together, the sound of the water and the rustling leaves creating a quiet little world just for them. Their wedding party joined us afterward, and what a crew they were. Full of personality, full of laughs, and yes, a few cowboy hats in the mix that gave the whole day a fun modern-farmhouse vibe.
Then it was time for the ceremony which was set beside the river under a sweeping weeping willow and the whole ceremony space looked like something out of a fairytale. The branches draped overhead, the creek flowed nearby, and guests gathered with the most beautiful natural backdrop imaginable. Ashley walked toward Skyler through a sea of smiles, and the ceremony itself was filled with the perfect balance of laughter and happy tears.
Once they were pronounced husband and wife, the celebration really began. We snuck away for a short stroll along the river, letting them take in the scenery and the quiet after the ceremony. The light softened, the breeze moved through the willow branches, and the whole place felt almost magical.
And then sunset arrived. If you could design perfect golden-hour light, it would have looked exactly like this. The sky glowed, the creek reflected the warm colors, and Ashley and Skyler wandered along the banks surrounded by trees and soft evening light. Those portraits are some of my favorites from the entire day.
Back at the reception, Creekside Farm absolutely delivered. The hall was stunning, anchored by a glowing chandelier and wide-open doors that framed the landscape behind the head table. It felt effortless and elegant. Dinner brought heartfelt toasts and plenty of laughter. Ashley even shared a beautiful moment dedicating her bouquet to her mom, a surprise that brought another wave of emotion to the room.
Their first dance was beautiful as seen through the big open barn doors and was followed by family dances that had everyone watching with misty eyes. And as the music carried out into the evening air, the dance floor filled with friends and family celebrating a couple who clearly mean the world to everyone around them.
Ashley and Skyler, thank you for trusting me to document such a joyful day. Your wedding had all the ingredients of something truly special, beautiful scenery, genuine love, and a community of people who showed up fully to celebrate you. I’m still smiling thinking about that sunset along the creek.
