Sometimes, a wedding day isn’t just about two people coming together, it’s about sharing that joy with all the people who mean the most to them. Chandel and Tyler’s wedding at Grand View Lodge was exactly that.

The weekend started with a bachelor golf tournament and I was beyond honored when Tyler asked me to join him and the guys on the course. We had a fantastic time, but there’s one thing Tyler loves more than a good round of golf with his buddies: Chandel. Her sweet spirit is like a magnet, drawing people in and making everyone around her feel welcomed and loved. When the couple started planning their wedding, they wanted to make sure they had extra time with the people they care about most. So, they chose a local destination wedding at Grand View Lodge, the perfect spot for everyone to come together, relax, and celebrate.

On the wedding day, I joined Chandel and Tyler as they finished getting ready. Both were brimming with excitement and nerves, their butterflies visible as they waited for the moment they’d see each other. I walked Tyler out to the lawn for their first look, and as we chatted, I could feel his anticipation and see it in his eyes. When I went back inside to get Chandel, she was so excited that she practically bounded outside to meet him. They took a quiet moment to exchange letters, sharing sweet words and a few tears together, before we joined the wedding party. Inside, their friends and family watched from the windows above, wiping their own tears as they witnessed such a beautiful, intimate moment.

The wedding party was filled with familiar faces, past wedding couples who have become friends, and Chandel’s friends, her biggest cheerleaders, who were all there to support her. After some time spent laughing and celebrating together, everyone hid away to prepare for the ceremony.

As the sun filled the afternoon with a warm glow, Chandel and Tyler exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony that was as full of laughter as it was of happy tears. Their joy was infectious and the moment they were pronounced husband and wife, everyone cheered. They walked down the aisle hand-in-hand straight to the cocktail party to greet their guests. After a few rounds of celebratory drinks on the Aloha party barge out on the docks, it was time to head into the reception.

Before joining the party, Chandel and Tyler took a moment for themselves, taking a quiet sunset stroll to soak in the beauty of the evening and the day. Then, they joined their guests, and the celebration began! Their friends brought such an energy to the reception that it quickly became the party to be at, with everyone laughing and enjoying each other’s company. To add to the fun, they even had a caricature artist capturing everyone’s unique personalities which was the perfect touch for a group with such big, lively spirits.
