Wendy and Bob

Wedding Date: August 31st 2024

Wendy and Bob’s wedding at the American Swedish Institute was a day filled with meaning, tradition, and joy. Wendy waited her whole life to find the right fit, and with Bob, she found it, a match that feels truly meant to be. Both of our families are members of the Institute and we bonded over Nordic traditions.

Their wedding day started with Wendy and Bob sharing a private dance in the mansion’s elegant, historic setting. It was just the two of them, basking in the moment and brimming with excitement for their marriage. You could feel the joy in the air, as if the walls of the old mansion were witnessing yet another timeless love story unfold.

The ceremony itself was a beautiful gathering of family and friends, with a touch of musical magic. Two of their friends performed a duet on the grand piano in a room adjacent to the ceremony. It was easy to imagine the original parties held in the mansion, with music filling the halls and joy in every corner. After exchanging vows, Wendy and Bob spent time mingling with guests, toasting with champagne, and sharing stories. Wendy, who has a background in print, felt a special connection to the mansion’s galleries, as the family who built it also shared that same artistic passion. She gave guests a tour of these galleries, proudly showcasing the art of a famous Swedish artist.

Throughout the cocktail hour and reception, live music filled the air, creating an elegant and lively atmosphere. Wendy and Bob shared a special spotlight dance that felt both joyous and intimate, and family and friends took turns sharing heartfelt words, making everyone feel part of something unforgettable. As the night went on, I got to experiment with our new lighting setup, capturing unique shots that added a creative twist to this timeless evening.

Wendy and Bob’s wedding was more than a celebration, it was a connection of family histories, shared passions, and the beginning of a beautiful chapter. It was a true honor to capture the joy, the love, and the memories of their perfect day.
