Emily and Theodore Engagement

Occasionally during a photo shoot I nearly forget I’m at work because I’m honestly having such a good time. Emily and Theodore’s engagement session was one of these moments. It also helps that Emily is my son’s assistant teacher so she knows our family well! They have a love for the outdoors and camping, so for their Local Adventure session, we thought it would be fun to set up camp and enjoy the Minnesota summer. Sometimes it takes a couple a while to adjust to having the camera in front of them, but I think they forgot about it as quickly as I did! We were all laughing and joking while setting up the tent, but when Emily wrapped herself in a sleeping bag, all bets were off and we were laughing so hard we couldn’t contain ourselves. Eventually the laughter turned back into sweet conversation and they toasted to their upcoming wedding as the sun started to set. We made our way down to the waters edge just as the sky filled with beautiful oranges and yellows. The pair danced at the end of the dock as the colors reflected in the calm water around them.
