Grace and Hunt Part 1: Ceremony and Golf Day
August 7th and 8th, 2024
Some weddings are more than just a day, they're an entire experience. Grace and Hunt’s wedding weekend was exactly that, a three-day celebration filled with love and unforgettable moments. It was the biggest wedding of the year and this family certainly knows how to throw a party! From start to finish, the weekend was a joyful whirlwind. Being a part of their journey was extra special for me as I have photographed Grace and her family since she was in high school. This wedding felt like a beautiful continuation of the memories we’ve built together over the years.
When a family treats you like one of their own, it makes my work that much more meaningful. That’s how I feel every time I’m around Grace and her amazing family. We share a lot of history, from family portraits to cheering on our Gopher basketball team (we’re all season ticket holders). And Grace’s mom, Andrea, is one of the kindest, warmest souls you’ll ever meet. I had the honor of photographing Andrea’s wedding at the beautiful Monterey Peninsula Country Club which was a breathtaking event filled with love, much like Grace and Hunt’s wedding.
But before I get ahead of myself, let’s start at the beginning of Grace and Hunt’s wedding weekend. It kicked off with an intimate, private ceremony at a small family church, surrounded by their closest loved ones. Their family pastor officiated the ceremony, making it all the more special and personal. It was a perfect way to begin their journey into marriage.
The next day, the celebrations continued with a golf outing at none other than Olympic Hills. Grace and Hunt put their personal spin on the event with Grace’s golf cart beautifully decorated with flowers (of course, in her favorite color, pink!), while Hunt’s was decked out with nets and fish, showing off his love for the outdoors. It was such a fun, laid-back day, with everyone out on the course, trying their best to win the tournament. But let’s be honest, Grace and Hunt had already won, just by finding each other.
The day wrapped up with a stunning rooftop party at Olympic Hills.. As if that wasn’t perfect enough, Kevin Mac serenaded guests as the sun set and the stars came out. There was something so magical about seeing them sway to the music, surrounded by their loved ones, with the stars twinkling above. What a way to kick off their wedding weekend.
But that’s just the beginning! There’s so much more to share from Grace and Hunt’s actual wedding day. Come back for Part 2, where I’ll share all the gorgeous photos from their big day. Trust me, you won’t want to miss it!
