Grace and Hunt Part 2: Wedding Day
Wedding Day: August 9th 2024
After two days of love, laughter, and celebration, Grace and Hunt’s big day was finally here! Everything had been leading up to this moment, and it was clear from the start that this wasn’t just a wedding, it was the party of the year. If you haven’t already read about the first two days of their wedding weekend, go check out Part 1, because you’ll want to see how this celebration began.
Grace’s wedding planning journey was as intentional as it was exciting. After meeting with Equestria West, her first call was to me, asking about my availability. I had no idea then that I’d be part of a dream team she was assembling, including the incredibly talented Lindsay Piram and my dear friend John Hoel, who came all the way from Florida. John and I shared a studio for years, so being able to work together again for Grace and Hunt’s wedding was an honor and a real joy. I also brought another great friend and gifted photographer, Jeff Dose. Our styles complement each other perfectly and he brings such great energy to every event, and this wedding was no exception!
Grace and Hunt had set aside extra time that morning for their close friends and family, ensuring they could enjoy every moment. The bridal suite was buzzing with excitement and at one point, a dance party even broke out! You could hear the music and laughter ringing through the halls, setting the tone for their day. When Grace and Hunt shared their sweet first look, you could feel the energy shift, the party was officially underway!
The wedding design and flow were nothing short of magical, thanks to Equestria West and Lindsey’s brilliant concepts. Each moment of the day had its own unique flair and there was even a new napkin design for each stage of the event, adding a playful and elegant touch. The ceremony took place outdoors in a breathtaking floral dreamland, where guests sat among sweet-smelling flowers as they waited for the bride to walk down the aisle. The ceremony itself was sweet and heartfelt, but there was one surprise that took the day to a whole new level. Knowing Grace and Hunt’s love for New Orleans, Grace’s mother, Andrea, had arranged for a lively New Orleans-style band to lead the guests from the ceremony to the reception hall. We danced our way around the building, with the band playing lively tunes. It was by far my favorite part of the day!
As the guests entered the reception hall, jaws dropped. The space was decorated to perfection, with every detail thought out and executed flawlessly. The band continued playing as Grace and Hunt made their grand entrance to a cheering crowd. Heartfelt toasts filled the air, followed by the couple’s first dance. Hunt then shared a mother-son dance, and just when we thought the evening couldn’t get any better, Grace and Andrea took the dance floor, soon joined by Grace’s sister, kicking off a flash-mob-style dance that filled the entire room. It was an incredible moment that had everyone on their feet, and from there, the dancing never stopped.
The energy in the room was electric, and the dance floor was packed all night long. This was the party no one wanted to leave. Guests were treated to a champagne tower that added another layer of fun to the evening. As the night drew to a close, there was one final, unforgettable moment, a sparkler send-off. Grace and Hunt walked hand-in-hand through a tunnel of sparklers, and as they kissed under the stars, surrounded by their loved ones, everyone was left cheering and smiling. The perfect end to a perfect day.
