Jaclyn and Adam
Jaclyn and Adam's wedding was a celebration filled with music, love, and heartfelt moments. From the moment I arrived at the Day Block Event Center, I knew this wedding would be special. The venue was decorated with black and white linens resembling piano keys and set the stage for what would become a dance party complete with crowd surfing at the end of the night!
We started the day with a sweet first look before heading out into the warm summer sun. We were joined by their wedding party who brought even more fun and laughter along. This was definitely the party you wanted to be with and they turned heads and garnered applause as they traversed the grassy hill near the Guthrie Theater. It seemed fitting to have this musical institution behind us as we looked ahead to their ceremony.
Back at Day Block, Adam took his place at the front of the room filled with their loved ones. The music crescendoed and Jaclyn walked toward him wearing a smile. The second they locked eyes I saw both of them exhale as they held hands. They were exactly where they were meant to be. They laughed and held back tears as they exchanged vows and sealed it with a pinky promise. Then upon being pronounced married, they both cheered along with the crowd that filled the room with applaus.
One of the most memorable moments came when Jaclyn and Adam decided to crowd surf—an unexpected twist that perfectly captured their adventurous spirits. I scrambled to capture the energy and exhilaration in their expressions, along with the laughter and cheers from their guests as they lifted them high over their heads. After the first go, Jaclyn looked at me and said, “we can do better.” So I laughed and rallied the crowd for a second go! This time everyone gave it their all and the pair came away beaming from ear to ear and it was exactly what they had envisioned.
The reception was an open mic affair, with Adam and Jaclyn's musician friends taking turns performing. I had an absolute blast capturing every moment of joy on their faces as they sang and played their hearts out, each song as special as the next. Their decor matched the atmosphere perfectly and featured their favorite album covers with a note explaining its importance.
Jaclyn and Adam’s wedding was more than just an event; it was a celebration of community and gratitude. They radiated joy and appreciation for their guests, ensuring that each person felt valued and welcomed. It was a pleasure to witness their genuine connections throughout the entire day. As I packed up my gear at the end of the night, I couldn’t help but feel lucky to have been a part of Jaclyn and Adam’s day. Their wedding was a testament to the power of love, music, and the importance of cherishing meaningful connections. I know their journey together will be filled with more beautiful moments, and I am grateful to have been there to capture the beginning of it all.
