Jennifer and Jason

Wedding Date: October 1st 2021

A hint of fall was in the air as I stepped out to capture Jennifer and Jason’s wedding day. The leaves were just starting to turn hues of beautiful gold and red and the timing couldn’t be better. This was a day Jennifer and Jason have looked forward to for so long and the love of their friends and family could be felt everywhere. I joined Jennifer in the bridal suit for some finishing touches on her stunning look and then we made our way out to the lawn to meet her one and only, Jason. I haven’t seen a first look like this in years. I thought Jason was going to fall over from sheer excitement and love for Jennifer. Seeing her in a wedding dress made it all real and he didn’t stop smiling from that point on. In fact, both of them seemed to light up every room they walked into. Their giggles and big laughs could be heard throughout the grounds as we explored everything The Hutton House had to offer. Guests entered the ceremony and were handed a glass of champagne for a classic “sit and sip.” Their vows were touching and filled with so much laughter and happy tears that at one point I wasn’t sure if I was tearing up from laughing or crying! After a trip down the aisle, the pair was excited to explore the nearby Medicine Lake because they both love the water. We timed it perfectly so the sunset started to paint the sky with its many colors. We rejoined the party at The Hutton House in time for toasts and the cake cutting. But just as they were about to cut the cake, one of Jason’s groomsmen stepped in to offer some sage advice while the other “horsemen” scurried off with the top of their cake. Jennifer and Jason were left with an empty cake stand, a little confused, and both just shrugged and started laughing. Meanwhile, the cake thieves consumed all the evidence behind the venue in a classy no-fork fashion next to the dumpster. It’s not every day you get to witness a heist at a wedding! Ha! After the laughter died down from the epic cake-napping, Jennifer and Jason made their way out to the lawn for their first dance as their loved ones looked on. As the skies opened and light rain started to fall, they hugged one another closer and laughed a little louder as Jason twirled Jennifer in the evening mist. What a perfect ending for a perfect day.
