Julie and Patrick
Wedding Date: October 1st 2022
October is here and that means fall has officially begun. Fall in Minnesota is one of those special locals-only secrets that brings out the very best in everyone and everything and today was one of the best. Waking up to a big blue sky dotted with fluffy white clouds and colorful trees starting to pop up everywhere I looked had me smiling ear to ear. But I certainly wasn’t the only one thrilled for the beautiful day, this was a moment that Julie and Patrick had been looking forward to for many months.
Our amazing Team Photographer, Alison Lee, met the couple at the gorgeous Interlachen Country Club. The morning light filled the bridal suite where Julie and her daughter were putting on the finishing touches. Julie’s beauty reflected her gorgeous heart as her daughter watched in admiration as she gazed in the mirror for the first time that day. The couple exchanged heartfelt letters moments before their first look and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. I love when couples exchange letters beforehand, it’s such a special way to say everything you want and be able to keep those intentional words for years to come. Then it was time for their first look. They both lit up the instant they saw one another and you just knew they were head-over-heels in love. The way they looked at each other, the words they spoke, there’s enough love between the two of them to fill an entire city.
Once their guests arrived, everyone filed back inside to witness their beautiful ceremony. The room was dressed in flowers and filled with tons of smiling faces. Their loved ones cheered as they were pronounced husband and wife and then Ali whisked them away on a golf cart to go find the best fall colors the day had to offer. The pair laughed and smiled like school kids as they bounced along in the cart. After finding the best spot, they practiced their first dance together. He twirled Julie like a pro and they both executed the moves as if they were second nature. It made for a sweet moment, watching them twirl and laugh among the fall leaves on the course.
Their reception was filled with so much love from their children, loved ones, and of course one another. The toasts were especially moving and you could feel the bond they had with every single person there. They proceeded with their first dance perfectly and the room was once again filled with applause. These two kind, sincere sweethearts made everyone feel loved and appreciated every moment of their day which speaks volumes about who they are. Thank you both for inviting us to capture your memories and feel the love.
