Lindsey and Jeb

Wedding Date: August 22nd 2025

Lindsey and Jeb wanted a celebration rooted in nature, full of intention, and shaped by the places and rituals that define their story. They chose Newport State Park for their ceremony and their own home for the reception, and the combination created a meaningful destination weekend full of love and celebration.

We started on the cliffs overlooking the bay with dramatic limestone edges softened by layers of pine and wild greenery. It’s easy to see why this place matters so deeply to them. Their first look happened right there with the water stretching out endlessly behind them, and the moment was quiet and completely theirs. The trail leading down to the beach felt alive. Lush green woods, filtered light, and that fresh, earthy scent that only comes from being deep inside a state park. They’d spent countless hours exploring these paths when Jeb first visited Door County, and now it became the backdrop of their wedding day.

Their ceremony took place on a stretch of sandy shoreline, pine trees towering on one side and cool blue water on the other. Guests sat on simple wooden benches overlooking the bay. Sandals dug into the sand, wind moved gently through the trees, and it felt like time slowed down. Then came the dogs, full sprint, full excitement, easily the most enthusiastic guests of the day. Then Lindsey arrived walking through the warm sand, looking radiant as she walked toward Jeb with the water behind him.

After the vows, we spent time along the beach with their wedding party for a mix of celebration and calm. This is kind of group who knows how to keep things fun, but also knows when to let the moment breathe.

Back at their home, a clear-top tent had been set up, and it looked incredible with long wooden tables, bright florals, greenery woven through everything, and the sky stretching wide above us. It felt like a continuation of the landscape itself. Guests toasted the couple under soft blue skies and the whole evening carried that effortless, just-right energy that only happens when a wedding fully represents the people at the center of it.

And then, the next morning I met up with Lindsey and Jeb again for a post-wedding session back in the park, just the three of us wandering trails and seeing the place with fresh eyes. We visited the historic boat house, which offered striking lines and old, weathered character. Butterflies followed us everywhere, literally floating into frame as if they had been hired for the session. The tall pines cast dramatic shadows, and we made our way down to the shoreline where they walked the beach and waded into the shallows without hesitation.

Eventually we reached a rocky beach that looked more like California with rugged stones, deep water, dramatic horizon, but the pine trees gave away the Midwest roots. Watching them move through these places, it became even more clear that this wasn’t just a wedding weekend, this was their life, their rhythm, their shared heartbeat.

Lindsey and Jeb, thank you for bringing me into your world for a few days. Your joy is contagious and your connection to this place is something special. What an honor to document it.
