Marissa and Dylan
Wedding Date: September 12th 2025
The Saint Paul College Club has a way of making a wedding feel timeless the moment you arrive. Its historic charm, elegant rooms, and beautiful gardens set the perfect stage for Marissa and Dylan’s celebration, a day that blended classic sophistication with a few surprises along the way.
The morning started in the bridal suite where Marissa and her friends gathered in matching pajamas, filling the room with laughter and excitement as the final touches came together. Marissa and Dylan shared their first look out front of the club, framed by the historic architecture and tree-lined street.
The plan was to hold the ceremony in the garden behind the club, and for most of the afternoon it looked like the weather was going to cooperate perfectly. Guests began to gather, the chairs were set, and the garden looked absolutely stunning. And then the rain arrived. But instead of rushing indoors, Marissa and Dylan looked at each other and decided to embrace it. The club staff quickly passed out clear umbrellas to every guest, and what happened next turned into one of the most beautiful ceremony scenes I’ve ever witnessed. Marissa’s father held an umbrella over her as he walked her down the aisle, while the best man and maid of honor stepped in to hold umbrellas over the couple as they stood together. Looking out across the garden, you could see a sea of clear umbrellas covering the entire crowd. It was romantic, cinematic, and somehow even more magical than the sunny ceremony everyone had imagined.
By the time the ceremony wrapped up, the rain began to clear as if right on cue. Guests gathered back in the garden for champagne toasts and the start of cocktail hour, and the entire space glowed with that fresh-after-the-rain light. We spent some time exploring the grounds and then slipped back inside the club for a few portraits. Along the way we discovered what might be one of the most epic vintage bathrooms I’ve ever seen, complete with a pink bathtub that absolutely demanded a photo. Naturally, we couldn’t resist capturing a playful champagne moment there.
Dinner and toasts followed, with heartfelt stories and laughter filling the room. At one point Marissa disappeared briefly and returned in a fun short party dress, ready to fully embrace the celebration. Their first dance set the tone for the rest of the evening. It was lively, joyful, and completely full of personality. From there the dance floor filled quickly as friends and family joined in to celebrate.
Later in the evening, when the party was in full swing, we slipped outside for a few quiet moments in the garden. The rain had long since passed, the air was calm, and the moonlight cast a soft glow across the trees and pathways. It was the perfect way to pause for a moment before returning to the celebration inside.
Marissa and Dylan, thank you for trusting me to capture such a beautiful day. What started as a classic garden wedding turned into something even more memorable.
