Briana and Adnan

Wedding Date: June 21st 2024

There are certain weddings that leave a mark on your heart, and Briana and Adnan’s wedding was one of those events. I began my own photography career in Southern California, so when they asked me to travel to Burbank, in the greater LA area, it added an extra personal touch. But what truly made this experience unforgettable was the chance to work with this incredible couple whose love and warmth lit up the entire day.

I first crossed paths with Briana and Adnan at her sister Colette’s wedding. Briana’s toast was filled with such warmth and sincerity that it was clear she was something special. Their own love story is a beautiful one, sparked in the food industry, where their passion for hospitality and connection shines through. This shared background was a cornerstone of their wedding, where food was not just a centerpiece but a reflection of their commitment to nurturing relationships.

From the moment they reached out to me, Briana and Adnan expressed their desire to have me be part of their wedding journey. Their invitation to the rehearsal dinner was extra special, as they asked me to join them as a guest rather than a photographer. “Leave your camera - you’re our guest!” they said, which perfectly illustrates their spirit of inclusivity and warmth.

One of the best surprises came when my friend Kevin, who had picked me up from the rehearsal dinner, turned out to know Briana. We made a spontaneous U-turn so Kevin could go in and say a quick hello. Briana was beyond excitement and she insisted Kevin join the wedding the next day. This sweet act of kindness made him into a real-life wedding crasher and further highlighted the couple’s generosity and love for all.

Their wedding day was a true celebration of unity and love. The olive tree ritual during the ceremony was not just a beautiful tradition but a symbol of the families coming together. Each guest even received a potted olive tree from Adnan’s family. Even the logistics of the day brought laughter and joy. Finding the park where the ceremony was held led us on an adventure down gravel roads, past a driving range, and eventually to the right spot on our third try.

Briana’s elegance and grace were evident as she moved through the day with a radiant poise. Adnan, with his expressive eyes, took in every moment with an appreciative and heartfelt presence. Their first dance was one of the most touching moments of the day as Briana fell into his arms and they both wiped away tears. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are: a couple deeply in love, incredibly thoughtful, and remarkably generous. It was an honor to witness and capture their special day, and I’m grateful to have been part of such a beautiful celebration.
