Wedding Date: February 6th 2026

This one felt personal in a way that doesn't happen every day. Kaitlyn is actually the cousin of Rachel, our very own incredibly talented in-house designer and production manager, and having her whole family there made the entire day feel less like a job and more like showing up for people I already consider part of the crew. Rachel's mom altered the wedding dress herself, and Rachel, who knows this industry inside and out, helped make the day run smoothly. It's rare to get to photograph a day where the people behind the scenes are also the people getting married into your extended work family, and I loved every second of it.

Kaitlyn and Nick dreamed of a winter wedding, and the day delivered in full. Fresh snow blanketing everything, big blue sky overhead, the kind of crisp winter light that photographers dream about. Their first look happened just outside in the sun, and the happy tears came almost instantly.

The whole color palette came together beautifully, dark teal, burnt orange, brick red, and deep purple, with the bridesmaids' jewel-toned dresses corresponding directly to the groomsmen's ties. Nick even added his own touch of personality with a Batman detail woven into his tie, which is so completely him.

The ceremony took place indoors with sunlight pouring in behind them as the sun began to set right as they said their vows, timing you genuinely cannot plan for. It was kid-friendly and warm, full of happy faces from every generation in the room. They also set up remembrance tables to honor loved ones who couldn't be there, a quiet, thoughtful touch that added even more depth to an already meaningful day.

After the ceremony, everyone stepped outside for a quick celebration before heading into the reception. Toasts were sweet, the first dance was lovely, and as the night went on, everyone settled in, more relaxed, more themselves, exactly the kind of shift that tells you a wedding truly landed. A perfect day, start to finish.
