Wedding Date: October 16th 2021

Lauren and Brian were originally scheduled to be married last year, but with the world on hold, they had to make some tough decisions. They ultimately decided that they wanted to exchange vows on their original wedding date with a big party to come at a later date once it was safe. However, Lauren couldn’t bear the thought of having a ceremony without her brother present since he wasn’t allowed to leave his military base in Virginia. Happily, we were all able to board a flight and gathered for a gorgeous small I Do Day that will be a ceremony I’ll never forget.

Now, fast forward a little over a year to 2021. They had time to plan out their dream celebration with all of their loved ones nearby at the always beautiful Bavaria Downs. It already has a touch of whimsy, so bringing Lauren and Brian’s epic love story to its sweeping landscape felt like a fairytale come to life. It was the most perfect fall day you could ask for with a gentle breeze rustling vibrantly colored leaves while a few crunched under foot. To add to the fairytale picture, Laurens father showed up in a stunning vintage car that would act as their getaway vehicle and a pretty great backdrop too. They shared a special moment laughing and enjoying their time together driving around the grounds before he dropped her off for her and Brian’s first look. Their ceremony had a beautiful view of the fall colors through the large picture window in the ballroom. I ended up making a great connection with one of the valet drivers, Max, who ended up being the best assistant I never knew I needed. I drove us to the best locations for the fall leaves and made the experience extra special. Back at the reception, the dance glowed with rainbow colors, much like the leaves outside, after the laughter and cheers from toasts had died down. We ended the evening outside in their getaway car as they cozied up inside and we used the warm headlights for a bit of dramatic vintage flare. These two are as classic as their day couldn’t possibly be any sweeter. I’m honored to have been a part of not just one celebration for them, but two.
