Willie and Rob

Wedding Date: December 6th 2025

Willie told me she's been dreaming of a winter wedding her whole life, and after spending a day at Semple Mansion with her and Rob, I completely understand why. That warm, cozy, tucked-in feeling the place gives off, all those little nooks perfect for getting close during the coldest months, it's exactly the kind of setting that makes winter weddings feel like a secret nobody else knows about.

Rob started at the top of the stairs, waiting on the second floor landing, and I could feel the anticipation building the second I walked into the bridal suite. So much energy in that room, laughter, nerves, excitement, all of it at once. Then came the first look, and it was about as classic and beautiful as it gets. Willie walked down the main staircase toward Rob, and the tears started before she even reached the bottom. And as if the day wasn't already perfect, it snowed the day before so we stepped outside for a few minutes just to play in it, because when Minnesota gives you snow like that on your wedding day, you don't waste it.

The wedding party joined in after that, and the love in the room was impossible to miss. When it came time for the ceremony, Willie came back down that same staircase, her mom walking her down the aisle to meet Rob at the end. He lost it instantly, no holding back, and I loved every second of catching that. Rob wore a maroon tux that stood out beautifully against the whole scene, and Willie's dress, modern with delicate flower cutouts, struck this perfect balance of classic and completely unique. Their vows were sweet and loving.

After the ceremony we spent some time in the vineyard room downstairs, and then everyone gathered back in the main hall for a toast given right from the grand staircase, followed by one big group photo that I already know is going to be a favorite. Up in the reception hall, the toasts were warm and full of love, and their first dance had a live band behind it, which gave the whole moment this rich, timeless feel. The parent dances that followed were just as sweet. We wrapped the night outside the mansion, and honestly, it couldn't have ended in a more picture-perfect way.
